Now on to the Fun UnGifts!!

One of the favorite gifts our kids say they have ever received are our coupon books.  They are easy to put together.  Just type or hand wright each coupon.  We usually do our’s on Christmas paper.  Then punch a hole and bind them all together with a ribbon.  Here’s what we include in our coupon books:

Kids/Tweens/Teens:

  • No chores day
  • movie rental
  • video game rental
  • pizza for dinner
  • stay up 30 min late or 30 min late for curfew
  • pint of ice cream your choice!
  • $5 any time you need it
  • have a friend sleep over
  • 1 batch of cookies you choice!
  • choose the book for bedtime
  • sit in the front seat for the day

The list could go on and on!!  Just think of the things they are constantly asking for and give it in a coupon ;) !

My sister did a Cookie of the Month for her husband as a gift.  Read more about that here.

We have also done an Ice Cream of the Month for our kids.  They can turn in a coupon each month for their choice of ice cream flavor from the store (in the pint size).  It’s their very own to eat!

Or for ice cream in another form my girls are giving Daddy a Ice Cream Date to TCBY ($1 cones on Wednesday).  They made this cute cone for him to open on Christmas.

Bookmarks are easy to make, cost nothing and are great for almost anyone.  I used some of my scrapbook paper stash and made them for all of our kids this year for their stockings.  I wrote a scripture verse on each and had them laminated for durability.

Bike Name Plates are another easy to make low cost or no cost gift.  I did these this year for our girls, nephews and a few little friends.  Once again, I used my scrapbook paper stash for the main piece.  Mine are 5.5 x 3.5.  I cut letters from magazines to make their name, added a few embellishments and had them laminated for durability.  You will need to punch two holes on the top and they can be fastened to the bike using zip ties.

Music CD’s are a fun, personalized gift.  One year for Valentine’s I put together a special playlist of love songs for my husband and burned it to a CD.  I’ve also done a Play Time CD as a fun gift for my girls and their friends and an Inspirational CD full of great Christian Songs for my sister.  For my sister I included one of my favorite devotional books, with her CD.
