I lost my dad 4 1/2 years ago to cancer and it tore our family apart as well. I have 2 brothers who don't speak to me, unless they need something that deals with my mom. My youngest brother is homeless and jobless in another city. He couldn't keep it together. I am 450+ miles away from them all, including my mom, who has Alzheimers. It is hard, but I pray daily for my family, for my brothers, that they may one day come to know Jesus. I'm sorry that you have to go through something similar. No family should be torn apart like that. Cancer does mean and ugly things. I hate it. I pray for a cure daily. On a brighter note, my favorite Christmas tradition is going to get a tree with the whole family. Almost 9 years ago my mom lost her 12 year fight with breast cancer. Some of my best Christmas Traditions are putting up the handmade ornaments she made when I was a kid up on our tree.
